muslim immigration - what is the true story?

i have not heard anywhere else that US is restricting immigration from islamic countries. Is this really true? would this be legal under current US laws? I do not believe it would legal or fair.

We have a major problem and it is not sure what to do. When for decades people immigrated to west from communist or other totalatarian governments, by and large they were happy to get out, and last thing they had on their mind was to replace the western culture and government and way of life with what they had just escaped.

yet, we made these people take an oath that they do not support communism and would abide by, for example, the US constitution should they have immigrated to the US. Now we have a large (but not all) number of immigrants from islamic countries coming to west with full conviction that they are coming to a vastly inferior and decadent culture. They wish to replace it with Islam and and Islamic laws. Yet, we welcome them and tolerate them in name of "religions freedom" and do not speak plain truth in name of "muslim sensibilties." In the end, this will be the undoing of west.

While there are a few voices now (finally) being heard in islamic countries that this should not lead to a clash of civilizations, to me the matters have gone beyond any point of repair. Islam and west are incompatible, and islam and even basic personal freedoms and freedom of expression are incompatible, and there is no reason trying to waste time and energies to make them so. We have plenty of real problems in our western societies that we need to fix. Similary we wish best of luck to Islamic societies as we each go our own ways.

For any real offense caused by west to islamic nations (and these cartoons an NOT one of these) I, for one, apologize, but now it is not possible for us to live together. All these cries for decapitations, cutting off of hands of cartoonists, slapping any Danes that one sees anywhere, declaring open season on all nationals of countries that are some of most generous donors to many muslim causes should be enough to convince people that for a few decades we need to go our separate ways. Price of oil is high, and will go higher still, last thing muslim countries need is western aid.
