Act III To ComeReader comment on item: The Iraq Dilemma Submitted by Lee D. Cary (United States), Oct 11, 2002 at 00:54 Daniel Pipes trusts the US more than the UN. Professor Zinn believes the reverse. The only objective arbitrator of this debate is history. And history favors Pipes, overwhelmingly. And because Pipes is correct, more and more Americans are coming to the conclusion--once heralded only by those seen as the most politically conservative among us--that the UN is failing, and will fail. So, we're moving, with increasing speed, toward some new international alignment that represents an Act III. Act I: the League of Nations. Act II: the United Nations. There will be some major catalyst--it may be very ugly in the short term--and the curtain will open on Act III. Does anyone out there have a notion of what it will look like?
