Howard Zinn is a coward

Reader comment on item: The Iraq Dilemma

Submitted by Halsey Wickser (United States), Mar 17, 2003 at 21:41

I just witnessed this man spouting more of the kind of outrageous appeasement that lead to WWII. This supposed professor emeritus is nothing more than another cliche liberal who can't face evil. Is he so blind he can't see what America's role as the lone super power has meant as an effective deterrant to the tin pot dictator of the world? While conveniently ignoring our recent successes in Afghanistan to free the suppressed women over there, he points only to conjectural doomsday scenarios. Were the world left to cowards like him, we'd all be living in work camps. There is no way my child is going to a college that backs his type of warped thinking.
