The World Gone MadReader comment on item: The Iraq Dilemma Submitted by Dan Eisenberg (United States), Oct 10, 2002 at 00:28 Mr. Zinn fears the U.S. President much more than Saddam Hussein. According to him the United States is the terrible world force today, but the Middle East tyrannies are not. I don't believe he is so ignorant, and thus I must conclude that he has gone mad. Unfortunately his misguided views are echoed on campuses throughout the country. Most disheartening about his line of argument, is that the only Iraqi action that would justify a U.S. military response - to Mr. Zinn's satisfaction - would be the detonation of a nuclear bomb. Unfortunately, the most likely target for that would be Tel Aviv. How can so many "experts" be so naive?! What is the ulterior motive? Once again, Dr. Pipes, your ability to target the core of the matter and argue it so well brings me great comfort.
