Regardless of what it says in the Quran, women in fact are treated as inferior beings to men in Muslim society. Especially if the woman isn't a Muslim. This has not only been my experience. Look at the laws and customs of any predominately Muslim country. So for me, it doesn't matter how you want to interpret the Quran. The facts speak for themselves.
