We find ourselves pursuing the mortal conundrum of the psychological differences between the male and the female of the species, of why do men do the things they do and the same with women; what do they do by which they try to find their reasons and place in life? There are generational considerations and from a global standpoint, like that debated elsewhere in this forum regarding oriental culture versus occidental societal settings and why they clash. Not much of a fan here of the allegory about men/Mars; women/Venus, yet the emotional chasm (sorry, but gender separation is a real challenge) is a challenge for the human condition that exceeds any rational discussion in which men are considered emotionally superior due to supposed control of emotions, yet it is easily argued that may work for becoming warriors in ancient societies, but it is not conducive to creating the sheltering environment of the home front.

Conversely, the human condition is better served when men recognize that peaceful co-habitation is the essence of a satisfied life, and not the warrior attitude in which the attempt occurs to make the spouse a virtual slave to meet any and all rapacious desires and serve in complete servitude. It is not sane.

In more than forty years of marital relationship to the same partner, all of the temptations that were presented, this observer found that considering the wayward thoughts of fulfilling all errant desires eventually led to a form of emotional loneliness, such physical extra-relational pleasures never coming close to the satisfaction one achieves in devoting all emotional efforts to the one to whom one was promised; for a fulfilled promise to that special one cannot ever be matched for achieving a sense of accomplishment that doing it right brings a more cherished attitude than unfulfillable lust.

Pride drives romantic lust, but never completely achieves a lasting satisfaction that reaches to the deepest emotional levels of love. Seek the emotional inspirational eternal love on earth to get the idea of what love will be like in heaven.
