He has a wife. He can have one in the USA and there. He needed to find someone fast as his visa was going to be up. Most likely his wife is alive, the kids are with her and she will pretend to be their grandma. The goal is for him to get his papers and eventually he can work enough to send them money and/or bring who he wants to the USA.
