Isolating Militant Islam

Reader comment on item: Something Rotten in Denmark?

Submitted by Martin E. Weinstein (United States), Aug 27, 2002 at 16:37

A most illuminating analysis of Militant Islamic behavior in Western Europe, the indulgence they enjoy, and political stirrings against them. When I am in Switzerland, I see many of the same problems that plague Denmark.

The problem is to define the relationship between Militant Islam and Islam. The solution is to place the burden of oppposing Militant Islam upon all Muslims. Those who do not act against Militant Islam acquiesce to it, and should have to pay a high, painful price.

We should not seek a War of Civilizations, but neither should we shirk it. The isolation of Militant Islam is a task for Muslims.
