Reader comment on item: [The Abu Ali Case and] Balancing Liberties, Security

Submitted by Reuben Ingber (United States), Mar 6, 2005 at 07:40

The problem facing prosecution and pursuing this and other cases rests w/ the concept "War on terrorism". This is a war on Islamo-facism or if you want to be more blunt, Wahabi Islam. If you use the latter term then you must question why we haven't declared war on Saudi Arabia (Have you read the literature of WAMY, World Assoc of Moslem Youth, it reads like Nazi literature, funded by the govt and based in SA). They are the source of Islamo-fascism and must be the ultimate target of the "War on terrorism". Then the liberal press would have to address the real issues but then they would aggressively (hawkishly) condemn our militaristic tendencies. But, hey, who started the war anyway? Wasn't it 19 SA citizens?
