Forget about civil liberties

Reader comment on item: [The Abu Ali Case and] Balancing Liberties, Security

Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Mar 1, 2005 at 18:19

"What emphasis, dear reader, do you choose"?

I choose security.

When it comes to saving your country- not just the USA - civil liberties should be suspended.

Liberals emphasize the importance of civil liberties and anti-racism. No western country can afford that, not the USA, not Spain, not Australia and Russia.

Civil liberties become totally irrelevant when national security is at risk. The same is true for anti-racism.

Liberals are causing the death of the western world.

Liberals and militant Islamists are natural allies.

If you want to save the lives of thousands of people, you have got to get your hands dirty.

You cannot beat Militant Islam if you are not free to stop and search Muslims at wish.

Left-wing PC is a weapon in the hands of Militant Islam.

Civil liberties are a waste of time.

Overall, liberals are the main group responsible for the situation we are in.

Beating liberals and suspending civil liberties is a pre-requisite for dealing with Militant Islam.

Liberals are public enemy number 1.
