Palestinians and other displaced people

Reader comment on item: Gaza's Not the Key, Philadelphi Is
in response to reader comment: 'Historical' Palestine

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Dec 4, 2012 at 02:36

While thousands of people have been killed for the sake of so called "palestinian" displaced/refugee people in the last 70 years, no one is getting killed for the sake of other displaced people like Sindhis, Punjabis, Sikhs displaced from Pakistan to India, American Indians who were displaced and destroyed, Indians who were displaced from Uganda, Arminians who were killed before they could be displaced, German and European (jews i.e.) who were displaced during world war II.

We must try to ask and answer what is so special about the Palestinian people that their displacement should cause a never ending war and what is so unspecial about everyone else that no one is killed for their sake. Should we all start killing each other?

And while we are at it we should also ask that if Islam is such a unifying force why can't it unify Palestinians with Syrian/Jordanians and Egyptians. Why does the umma stop when it comes to taking care of the Palestinian people?
