Sillyness is dangerousReader comment on item: [Election Monitors:] The Next Assault on American Sovereignty Submitted by Stephen (United States), Oct 19, 2004 at 13:13 The idea that the OSCE and its Chairman-in-Office, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, or whomever will be at the helm of the actual "monitoring" team, coming from an organization whose members include Kazakhstan, Serbia and Canada, will watchover the interests of Americans in their electoral process is preposterous. Not only are France, Germany and Russia members of this organization, but have also demonstrated their questionable ethics with the "oil-for-food" program run by that other bastion of high minded internationalism, the U.N. I wouldn't let these people monitor a sewage facility, nevermind an election... Franklin was on the nose when he answered, "A republic, if you can keep it."
