Managed News and The Election Con Game

Reader comment on item: [Election Monitors:] The Next Assault on American Sovereignty

Submitted by Richard Lewis (United States), Aug 18, 2004 at 09:08

Foreign investors that operate newspapers in the United States are exempt from state and federal election laws and enjoy more "first amendment" freedom to influence the political process in the United States than individual U.S. Citizens, U.S. political organizations and the Republican and Democrat parties.

U.S. Citizens are forced to pay state and federal taxes to fund National Public Radio and eductaional television networks which provide unrestricted political free speech platforms for Juan Willams, Jim Lehrer, Bill Moyers etc while most Citizens who pay for their exempt soapbox are restricted from making their opinions known 60 days before the upcoming general election.

According to a recent Pew Poll, thirty three percent of the U.S. population are now registerred as Independent or third party, despite that fact all news and most publish polls reflect a succesful two party system.

Our federal election laws are a two party and encumbent protection act. On average 95% of the encumbent congressman seeking re-election are returned to office, that is a higher rate of re-election than existed in the former Soviet Union under its single party system.
