Where were these people prior to 9-11

Reader comment on item: Niqab Security Outrages at Airports

Submitted by TexasMom (United States), Aug 14, 2010 at 12:23

Where were these people in the 1950's - 60's , 70's, 80's 90's and prior to 9-11-2001? Nobody ever saw a burqua or a niquab except maybe on Halloween if someone was in costume. Why is that? There were Arabs and people from other places in the middle-East, they never called attention to themselves or caused all this fuss. So was there some re-awakening within the ideology itself, some trigger? Is it really all about oil? What will they do when the oil is gone and we're using something else and they have nothing else to contribute? Maybe that's why they have to hurry up and try to conquer the world, before their one bargaining chip is gone........
