Given Iraq's demographics, how could we have done better if we toppled Saddam and withdrew? What could we have done short of an expensive "nation-building" effort to prevent Iranian domination once Saddam was removed from power? I am also not sure if you've read it yet, but in a recent NRO column, Victor Davis Hanson has dismissed any claims that the coalition's actions will lead to future Iranian hegemony.
