Only assuming Iranian clerics stay in powerReader comment on item: Iraq's Cosmetic Election Submitted by Sandy (United States), Mar 16, 2010 at 14:01 I buy the propping. Yet Iran is made of persians not arabs. They have a significantly different history with better education and somewhat wider outlook. I think there is a good chance the Iranian people will triumph over their clerical leaders - and certainly without support from the Obama administration. At that point their influence on Iraq might be pretty positive. Funny how we only seem to "help" those peoples who don't seem interested in helping themselves.
