It is important to understand that a significant portion of the French economy is in the hands of a certain numbers of Muslim countries. Rich Princes and Emirs have bought probably more than 30% of major economic assets (Hotels, Banks, and other industries). Therefore France, who was never politically honest to start with, does not have now much to say even objectively when it comes to international politics and the Muslim/Arab world. If the Arab world was to disinvest, the result would be a financial catastrophe. France is de facto allied with the Arabs. They go where their interests lead them. As someone said recently, France has no friends but only interests. This significantly affects French politics.
