Israel will not need Palin endorsement

Reader comment on item: Sarah Palin Endorses 'Bomb Iran'

Ahmadinejad is an Islamist tyrant who brutalizes his own people while ranting asinine comments to all his "enemies" in the world. What else is new in the world of dictatorship?

I realize it is hard not to take a leader of a country seriously but Ahmadinejad is playing the usual Middle East tribal politics, mostly for his audience in Iran. This backward mentality loves to support a single man leadership who talks tough and makes ridiculously bold statements. Regardless of all his crazy and stupid comments, I don't believe even he would dare to attack Israel with a nuclear weapon. Not only because of retaliation by the western world but any such attack would mean an attack on the second or third (depending on who you ask) holiest Islamic site in the world located in Jerusalem. It would also mean killing of many Arab Israelis and Palestinians.

This could easily backfire, not only in the broader Muslim world, but even with his own supporters in Iran. Regardless of what Ahmadinejad claims most experts believe that Iran is at least 1-2 years away before they have enriched at weapons grade. Meanwhile, Israel probably knows best and let's face it when the time comes they will most likely take out Iran's nuclear facility. They don't need endorsement from Palin. She probably washed her hands since then and already forgot what she was endorsing anyway.
