Not Exactly a Huge Accomplishment, Ya Sayyed AbdulKarimReader comment on item: One Cheer for Obama's Foreign Policy Submitted by Alex (United States), Sep 28, 2009 at 19:04 Opening a "mission" or trade "office" almost 60 years after Israel's founding--and with the intention of wooing US protection and investment rather than a civilized understanding of the need to accept and live in peace Israel--is no great gift that an Arab country can give. You were not being pushed into tolerating something odious or evil, but barely approaching something good and necessary. Set higher standards for yourself and your people, and you will achieve the democracy that Israel wants to share with you.
