Naw! Mr. Al-Habsi, you are wrong!Reader comment on item: One Cheer for Obama's Foreign Policy Submitted by Susan Browne (United States), Oct 9, 2009 at 10:39 Mr. Al-Habsi; Although I have read the Quran, I dont remember what it says about land division. Our Book, says that Abraham began his journey to the "Promised Land" in Ur of the Chaldees (Modern Iraq). The Promised Land couldn't be more specifically defined - from a part of the Nile (the great river in Egypt) to the Euphrates River. (Gen. 15: 18-21) Israel is nowhere near that extensive! Later, Yahweh, sent Jacobs' sons to Egypt when there was a famine, and they stayed for 400 years, but were sent back out of Egypt. Most Arabs are descendents of Abrahams' son Ismael, or Jacobs' brother Esau. They know about the Old Testament and the prophesies to Abraham and Jacob. This is a fight between brothers - the ultimate sibling rivalry. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
