The message is clear!!Reader comment on item: Limping away from a Shattered Iraq Submitted by Mansoor (Pakistan), Jul 14, 2009 at 08:09 Who would accept the responsibility of compound failure of a Super Power in Iraq?? Did USA really won that war or just moving back like a treasure hunter who lost his team, his wealth, his energy and turned back with empty hands but stained with the blood of thousands who lost their lives both among US soldiers and innocent citizens of Iraq. Was killing Saddam had something to achieve? can we believe that Iraq is now a paradise after the exit of Saddam and his Baath party??? No, the once happy and progressing country has now been turned into rubble!! Army graveyards inside USA are filled with the bodies of young and vibrant American youth reserves who were thrown into fire without showing any mercy. People would question now that after almost a decade long engagement in wars in Afghanistan and Iraq what is really the positive outcome??? Shattered economy, horrifying job losses and more over a highly reduced respect of America around the world.
