Reader comment on item: Limping away from a Shattered Iraq

I live in the middle east and the street here says that America in Iraq and the consequent elections in Iraq have given the 'people' of the ME more hope for freedom and democracy than they ever envisioned in their wildest dreams --- and now Obama would like to destroy that dream ... but will not succeed.

Those folks in Iraq were celebrating the fact that the US had liberated them, and now were, pray to God, no longer required , they were celebrating the beginnings of their life as a free people...
