The Cold War never ended

"With the end of the Cold War in 1991, however, a third era began, in which Democrats focused on the Palestinian cause and cooled to Israel, while Republicans further warmed to Israel."

With all due respect, Dr. Pipes, the Cold War never ended. So say General Leonid Ivashov, and so says Duma member and ex-FSB officer (as well as Alexander Litvinenko's alleged poisoner) Andrei Lugovoy.

In view of Vladimir Putin's Munich speech and the anti-Americanism of the Russian military, one should not pretend Russia and America are at peace. Russia is still trying to destroy us.
