"Academicians" Are Myopic For The Most Part?

If the majority of academicians are myopic and unrealistic as implied by this article, then the students (especially the graduate students) have not performed their jobs as students and academics. Usually if a professor is myopic, if not delusional, a gifted, talented graduate student can steer that professor in the right direction. This, of course, requires much more work from the student.
