TurkeyReader comment on item: Is the Middle East "Freer, More Hopeful, and More Promising"? Submitted by Bruce Godfrey (United States), Dec 14, 2008 at 09:54 Prof. Pipes, is it possible that you exaggerate about Turkey being the most anti-American country in the world? More than Iran? More than Cuba or Venezuela? At a minimum, claiming that a NATO ally is more anti-American than those three countries is the sort of thing that merits some linking and substantiation, at least in my view. Respectfully, Bruce Godfrey Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: It's been established in poll after poll that fewer Turks are pro-American (about 9 percent) than in any other country. Look it up. Comment on this item
