Info on parents

The father dies in Prison from complications to diabetes in the mid 90's. the mother is still in prison and awaiting an appeal.

The older sister lives in Dayton, OH. She is saddened by the whole situation and feels that she was misquoted in the book. She feels that her parents will pay in the end for killing her sister. But there are many facts that were not stated in the book. Harris failed to mention that Palestina was rebelling against her parents, which, is not an excuse to killing her, but there were many things going on that were not told. Like the fact that the sister first came after the father with the same knife, he grabbed it form her, and used it against her. I am in no way agreeing with the actions of the parents, but one must always remember there is another side of the story, if it was told, it would not have been such a "attention grabber" to get people to read the book....
