In anything that has to do with Islam, oppression is inevitable. Islam means submission. It is either convert, get out, or die; or at the very least be a silent third class citizen, with less rights than they give their women.
There truly is no middle ground with Islam. I as a Christian desire good for the Muslim and want for him to meet my Savior. The Muslims view is tha I am either in the house of submission or the house of war and to him, my unwillingness to reject Christ gives him the right to kill me and even more so if I explain to him the unreliability and inaccuracy of Qur'an.
I don't know what the people of the West expect from the Muslim.
Those to whom We have sent the Book study it as it should be studied: They are the ones that believe therein: Those who reject faith therein,- the loss is their own. Surrah 2.121 ...
So if they believe as ye believe, they are indeed on the right path; but if they turn back, it is they who are in schism; but Allah will suffice thee as against them, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. Surah 2.137 ...
Even if thou wert to bring to the people of the Book all the Signs (together), they would not follow Thy Qibla; nor art thou going to follow their Qibla; nor indeed will they follow each other's Qibla. If thou after the knowledge hath reached thee, Wert to follow their (vain) desires,-then wert thou Indeed (clearly) in the wrong. Surah 2.145 ... etc. etc. etc
