I couldn't agree more!Reader comment on item: Islamic Law Rules In Iraq Submitted by Roger Quarton (United States), Mar 3, 2004 at 22:38 I couldn't agree more with what Mr. Pipes writes about Islamic law becoming "the law of the land" in Iraq being a victory for militant Islam. Western civilization is as great as it is, not because of Islam!Christians and Jews are targets in the scopes of Muslim militants, who rightly interpret their Koran when it tells them to murder anyone who stands in their way, simmply because they are "infidels". Islamism is a threat to world peace, and a threat to the lives of millions who will NEVER bow down to ...Allah. The difference between myself and militant Muslims is this: I would never bring hurt nor harm to anyone who believes differently than myself! Jesus (Yeshua) the Messiah plainly teaches His followers to love and pray (for) those who hate them and persecute them for what they believe. It's Christianity that teaches tolerance (even for atheists!). Islam teaches just the opposite. The U.S. came in and uprooted the evil regime of Saddam Hussein. I think we should have the right to demand that the new constitution be based on Judeo-Christian principles, as found in the Bible - which is the same foundation our country once had, but totters upon at the present time. Maybe there should be a re-examination of the foundations of Law in both Iraq and the U.S.?
