Implementing Sharia Law in Iraq

Reader comment on item: Islamic Law Rules In Iraq

Submitted by Walter F. Gray (United States), Mar 2, 2004 at 16:44

Implementing Sharia in Iraq effectively destroys any chances the country has for a democratic future. It also makes a mockery of the sacrifices American troops have made in Iraq. With Sharia, the groundwork is laid for fanatical Islam to take over, for the country to regress into anti-American hostility again, and for persecution of non-Muslims to regain full steam.
