Apples and orangesReader comment on item: More on the Muslim Claim to Jerusalem Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Sep 2, 2008 at 13:53 There are nearly one thousand references to Jerusalem in the Bible, both Old and New Testaments. If this isn't enough evidence that Jerusalem belongs to the Jews, I don't know what is. It only requires searching the Scriptures to see that God blessed the Jewish people with a special convenant, and it will never be broken. Jerusalem has always belonged to the Jews and will be featured largely in the future of this world. Muslims cannot lay claim to something that is not theirs. It galls me to see the words "Al-aqsa" instead of "Temple Mount", a holy place that was set aside for the Jew. Some might say, "What's in a name?" There is much in a name-----names are not merely words, they all have a meaning. However I won't get bent out of shape about this because someday all will be revealed in the plan of Elohim.
