Polar opposites between the Koran and the Bible

Reader comment on item: More on the Muslim Claim to Jerusalem
in response to reader comment: Moses and Jesus were never, will never be and WOULD never be Muslims

If one goes striclty by scripture (for purpose of point, let's assume the term "scripture" applies to both the Bible and the Koran), there are many, many opposites between the two.

To narrow it down, question: how does one get to heaven?

Koran: "Paradise will be theirs if they fight in the way of Allah and slay (unbelievers) or are slain in the process; it is a promise which is binding on Allah." - aya 9.111

Bible: "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved." - Acts 16:31

John 3:16; John 11:25; John 14:6; Romans 8:1-2; Galations 3:26; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Ephesians 2:8-9.

Again, going striclty by scripture, one says you receive eternal life by your death; the other, by belief in Christ's death (physical).

Doesn't get much more opposite than that.

"He who hear My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgement, but has passed out of death into life." - John 5:24
