where was the Americans?

I know it was lebanese not Iranians who were responsible for the attack

But was the attack in American soil? can you answer the question

what were the American soldiers doing?

So the attack was not on American soil, on the contrary Americans were present on foreign soil, a sort of occupation and a threat.

It is not us who went to American soil in 1978 it was the Americans who came to our soil
