Reading Sharon's MindReader comment on item: Reading Sharon's Mind Submitted by PROF. Richard MILLMAN (United States), Dec 24, 2003 at 11:55 I hope D. PIPES is right and that Sharon has little wish to impliment his horrific retreat.Correctly as D. Pipes has said such a retreat will encourage further terror. I believe Sharon. Although one can not be sure. For Israel has been retreating for so long now it is hard to see anyone standing up to Arafat. Much of Israeli middle-class has little desire to resist. Intelligently Arafat encourages this behavior. North Tel-Aviv -which strongly favors capitulation to Arafat- never gets hit with terror attacks. They live a too comfortable existEnce employing non-Jewish servants to do the real work, voting for extreme left candidates, and often refusing to serve in the territories where the danger is. Israel's existence is at stake, not the territories. Prof. R. MILLMAN Paris, France Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
