two face SharonReader comment on item: Reading Sharon's Mind Submitted by yuval brandstetter (Israel), Dec 29, 2003 at 04:25 Disengagement is a major departure from everything that was before. All previous negotiations were designed to achieve an integration of Israel into the Arab Middle East. Everything was tried. Agreements, accords, festivals, appeasements, prefential rights to Arabs with Israeli citizenship. Now Sharon, and Netanyahu are saying this was all wrong. Unilateral disengagement, total separation from Arab ethinic majority, is the only hope for the survival of the Jewish Minority in the Middle East (five million Jews, three hundred million Arabs) How it should be effected is left to political and military manuevering. While Sharon raises Palestinian hopes of Jewish capitulation, Jewish troops stormed in to Shchem, (ancient capital of North Israel, now occupied by Arabs) to snare Islamic Militants (i.e. terrorists) Sharon has learned that in this war, one must show a different face to each faction.
