Reader comment on item: Reading Sharon's Mind

Submitted by William Kinney (United States), Dec 24, 2003 at 07:24

I don't know how you think there can be a solution where the Palestinians get zero.
Yes, Hamas will try more attacks, because the changes will bring a two-state solution closer, and Hamas will kill anybody and everybody it can to stop that. But now Israel goes after Hamas directly instead of PA police stations.

Israel needs to dismantle at least one West Bank settlement to incite the terror tactics of rabid racial land-entitlement settlers so that they can be dealt with openly. Now soldiers serve to defend total Torah fanatics who never serve but try to destroy the ability of Palestinians to live in the area.

Sharon defends the long-term vialbilty of Judiaism by making it less necessary to attack the continued existence of genocide-justifying Numbers in the Torah. Holding the entire West Bank will bring down Judaism, and cause an agonized period in Christianity as the Bible is restructured.
Israel must dismantle one big settlement as soon as possible. Israel must go after Hamas specifically until they are completely defeated.
