To Dr. RJP

1. Who was this hotheaded relative of King Faisal and what land did he get.? The King Faisal mentioned is the one we saw in "Lawrence of Arabia". He was given Iraq to rule but the people chased him out.

2. & 3. It's hard to realize how backward the US and Brits were 60 years ago. The fear of the unknown. I'm still afraid of Hitler--his followers still lurk.

If the Arabs chased so many Jews and Christians out of the West Bank, why don't Arabs today think these Jews and Christians should also have the right of return? Why should Muslims rule in the Holy Land of the Jews and Christians? Muslims have no love for Israel and the West Bank. If they did, they would not allow an inch of land to be defiled by violence. They would not dare destroy artifacts. There are many Palestinians who have been friends with the Israelis for decades. These people should be allowed to stay but I believe the troublemakers must get out.

From what I've read, many so called Palestinians are not Palestinians. Some kings ordered Arabs to settle there after the initial battles, others came for jobs (especially after the Jews turned the land lush and green. How to sort them out? At the urging of Arafat, they overreproduced babies to make even more people to stuff and suffer in the land. The Arabs have a huge over-population problem.

I say Egypt will start supplying them with electricity by 2010. A new plant is being built not far from the Gaza Border. Still, water and fuel problems must be solved for both people. I saw a picture of Palestinian women in the newspaper. They looked disgusted and worried. Too bad most of them can't get rid of their husbands.
