Why did Barak Obama wait until this moment when is so close to the elections to disavow Rev. Wright?

Why didn't Barak Obama disavow Rev. Wright remarks immediately after 9/11 or a few months after, or even a few years after 9/11? Didn't it bother him all these years what he said ?

Why did he wait until this moment when is so close to the elections?

Why didn't Obama disavow before (this last month) other racist and anti-Semitic remarks Rev Wright and Farrakah have made?

That's very worrisome!!!
