Re: Chickens coming home to roostReader comment on item: "America's Chickens are Coming Home to Roost" Submitted by Sharon Loew (United States), Mar 19, 2008 at 17:34 Dear Daniel Pipes, While I harbor no love at all for Malcolm X, I am old enough to remember first hand an event which occurred during the Kennedy Administration, that being the murder of four young black girls, killed by a bomb in their church. While President Kennedy expressed regret at the event, it was only lip service, not matched by action. In no way do I condone Kennedy's assassination, but I believe that Malcolm X was equating Kennedy's lack of response to the climate that helped create in which the killing of a president was acceptable. Sincerely, Sharon Loew Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
