Guilt by associationReader comment on item: "America's Chickens are Coming Home to Roost" Submitted by Rebecca Moulds (United States), Mar 15, 2008 at 10:17 Barack Obama is scrambling for the right response to the allegations that if he doesn't condemn the inflammatory remarks by Rev. Wright, then he must condone them. My sister and I walked out of our congregation and never returned, because we neither liked nor agreed with what was being preached, and no longer wished to be associated with anything close to what we considered inappropriate babblings. Poltics never should be part of any religion's sermons, and the excerpts on the media of some of Wright's explosive sermons are extremely offensive. Obama has a choice, either he removes himself from Wright's sermons and beliefs or he risks losing valuable votes. When a presidential candidate hesitates to make a stand for or against an important issue, then the prospective voters are left in the dark about his true agenda.
