When I was a young child, I watched the Anti-American Activities Subcommittee, chaired by Joe McCarthy and I wondered what these people did that was so terribly wrong. Some said that they were invited to attend a meeting by a close friend or were at a meeting out of curiosity but they were black-listed from the entertainment industry.
My point is there are certain rights guaranteed to all Americans such as the freedom of religion and peaceful assembly. While I deplore the acts of a few fanatics, I believe that the suspious acts of a few must be noticed, not their manner of dress or color of skin. The problems in the Armed Forces and Civil Service are not just with some Jihadists but with the Klan and/or the Order, not just one ethnic or religious group. I believe that these groups have the constitutional right to exist but I adamently oppose what they stand for. Sedition is an act, not a belief in a religion.
