Mr. Pipes, my hat off to you once again. So often, reading your point of view is refreshing, thoughtful and, through it all, encouraging. In all 'our' government's bungling, the US appears to 'muddle' it's way through the mess. I think the bottom line, in your articles and others. lies with the plain fact that our 'government bureacracy' is strangling US, working at cross purposes, and, most importantly, during more 'damage' than a terrorist nuke going off in NYC. And the scary thing We are on a fast freight going downhill with no brakes and no clear 'conductor', (Not meaning Mr. Bush, he just is surrounded by bad advice givers. Get rid of Powell and the top 100 US 'career diplomats' in the world) Stepping down from my 'soapbox', thank you for the American Way of having a Forum to express my point of view. thomas
