Local Law Enforcement penetrated by terroristsReader comment on item: Pentagon Jihadis Submitted by Ted Larsen (United States), Nov 30, 2007 at 22:25 what concerns me is that according to Federal requirements, contained in the Code of Federal Regulations Part 73, the local law enforcement authorities are to be notified of nuclear transports on U.S. highways. The local law enforcements are also the main last resort in case terrorists attack a nuclear shipment or a nuclear power plant. What happens if the nuke shipment's or plants guards are all killed and the responding LLEAs are members of a terrorist group? also, LLEAs aren't really subject to the same level of mental screening and drug testing as nuclear guards. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
