I am given to wonder why there has not been a far greater uproar over this affair. Why doesn't someone go before the UN and make this matter public. It should be broadcast to the fartherest corners of the world. Others who are knowledgeable in the construction of dams should be invited to verify the truth of the situation and a public statement of policy should be made concerning the dam.
The people of mosul should be warned in no uncertain terms of the reality of the danger that they presently face and that warning should be given in such a way that they cannot but accept it and act appropriately by evacuating to higher ground at least until the problem has been adequately dealt with. It should be known that any person who deliberately chooses to ignore the warning has taken the responsibility for the consequences to him and his family upon himself and the Americans will not be held responsibile for his demise. The people should be told that if they will not heed the warning then they had better pray to Allah for their salvation for there is nothing any human being can do to save them beyond giving them the warning.
A large fire should be lit under the tails of the Iraqi Government concerning this matter. God helps only those who are willing to help themselves.
