Hi Orina !

" Malaysian Muslims have called for a ban on the new film Evan Almighty saying it is offensive to their religion. Malaysia's Muslim Consumers association (PPIM) said the comedy, which is based on the story of Noah's ark and features actor Morgan Freeman as God, was insulting to Islam."

They should relax and watch the Turkish smash hit for a change - "Valley of the Wolves Iraq"! They will learn a Jewish vampire-doctor who harvests organs of tortured and killed Moslem shahids to sell them in Israel, a psychopathic American officer who massacres a Moslem wedding party, shoots like a mad SS-man at poor prisoners closed in a van container with machine gun fire to let them have "fresh air", humiliates unsuspecting Turkish marines (on their mission to assassinate a Kurdish governor) by putting a hood on their heads. The delicate Moslems are so deeply offended that one of them commits a suicide to save Turkey's honour. His comrades take revenge on the American monster for his misdeeds.

The movie was shown in cinema in 2006 and since then has been the favourite movie of the Turkish public. Directed by Serdar Akar it cost $ 10.2 million is the most expensive Turkish movie ever. But it paid off with more than 100% ( $24.9 million). The American or Israeli embassies or human rights organizations are not reported to have protested nor have riots been staged in major US cities.

I wish Dr Pipes instead of repeating the pro-Turkish propaganda rubbish ( "a million secularists on the march" most of whom seem to enjoy anti-American movies and vote for Muslim parties) wrote an article on that movie which beside the anti-American bestseller "Metal Storm" and "Mein Kampf" (in Turkish 'Kavgam') have totally won the hearts and minds of the Moslem Turks recently, if statistics can be relied upon.
