The moderates need to speak up a little louder!

Reader comment on item: Combating the Ideology of Radical Islam

The article above says it all. We must be careful to realize the the religion of Islam is not the enemy. The enemy is a network of radical fundamentalist Muslims. If we can just do what we can to encourage the moderate voices, perhaps they can silence the likes of Bin Laden.

We need to be careful not to paint all Muslims with a broad brush. Christianity and its radical elements have murdered more people than any other religion in history. Some say Saddam is a Muslim, yet Hitler, Marcos, Pinochet and Milosovic came from a Christian background. We have the Ku Klux Klan, Father Coughlin, Christian identity, Neal Horsely, Robert T Lee and others. We shouldn't just judge Muslims and their religion without acknowledging that in the name of Jesus atrocities have been committed in the world today. Before we go around naming names and labeling other religions as evil, we need to answer for our crimes as well.

Jesus said Let he who is without sin cast the first stone...
