Reader comment on item: Combating the Ideology of Radical Islam

What is the differentiating factor between an Islamist and a Muslim? If their source is the Koran and Hadith. To what degree is their behavior determined? Is it not determined by their implementation of what they have been reading and studying and from their imam`s? Our behavior`s root source, is from the conceivement of a thought. What we read and hear produce thoughts e.g. Koran, Torah, Bible. Therefore to say that one can separate ones actions from the persons belief, or value system, in my mind is impossible. Try to follow Judiasm, Christianity, or Islam, if the Koran, Torah, Bible, and Rabbi`s, Preachers, and Imam`s were removed. What Source would be left to act out the desired beliefs? (King Solomon) says: "As a Man Thinketh In His Heart, so Is He!" (Hebrew: Heart: Emotions, Intellect, Will). As one Thinks he will Speak, as one Thinks he will Behave or Act.

Will Moderate Islam have to take up arms to protect itself from militant Islamists that would just as soon exterminate the moderates as any other Infidel? Islamists use the Koran as a springboard, too, by force gain physical dominance over All their subjects, Muslim and non muslim... As long as Islamic Law is given authority to supersede Civil law in Democracies, there is no chance for Democracy to survive.

Islamism`s Central Text: Is the Koran and the Hadith. I disagree, the tensions between the Muslims and the West are Most Definetly a Clash between two Religious Belief Systems, what they teach, and the behavior that is implemnted by its adherents from the Teachings of their Belief system, which are also dispersed into the culture.

To this day, has Supporting the Moderates diminished the Islamists' Cause? ...May I suggest a book for you gentlemen to read, that deals head on with Islam.

Islam Unveiled (Disturbing Questions about the World`s Fastest-Growing Faith.) by Robert Spencer
