Naive as usual

Reader comment on item: [Mosque Mischief and] Counting Mosques

Submitted by Al Shaheen (United States), Feb 5, 2003 at 09:18

The Bush Administration and government agencies often show surprising naiveté.

The way to do it would have been to count all mosques, temples, synagogues, and churches. You still get you count of mosques but do not make it appear that Muslims are being targeted.

Same with the INS registrations. All US citizens and green card holders are accounted for. Why not have all other foreigners require to be registered. The FBI and INS can always set priorities. Count the mosques first. Register the Muslims first. And dont tell the whole world about it. Not every govt. tactic need be made public.

The American disease of the mouth... could be the nation's undoing. When will Bush learn to walk and talk softly or not not talk at all. But always carry the big stick. Some cultures and religions understand the language of the stick best.
