Reader comment on item: The Pentagon Looks at the Koran
in response to reader comment: Will the Pentagon also take on the United States Supreme Court?

Submitted by donvan (United States), Oct 18, 2006 at 17:27

I have a difficult time understanding the rationale for Mohammed in the supreme court. too. Presumeably, Mohammed is considered one of the great "Law givers". The Supreme court is not an infallable institution. The notion that Mohammed gave laws, based on the sword, as the freize suggests, indicates a paradox. The representation of Mohammed should be removed from the supreme court. The ideology he advanced is contrary to the ideals of the United States. The laws of Mohammed were edicts issued on pain of death, whereas Hitler, Lenin, Mao, these also gave "Laws" with as much compassion and reason.
