Reader comment on item: Hold Damascus Responsible [for Hezbollah Violence in Southern Lebanon]

Submitted by Andy B. (United States), Aug 1, 2006 at 11:30

Mr. Pipes is on target. Syria has been paying no price for its support of Hezbollah.

Why should Damascus know no inconvenience while Northern Israel sits in bomb shelters?

In addition, Syria has been supplying the terrorists/insurgents in Iraq with weapons to kill US forces there. They are paying no price for that, either.

And I wonder if the 65% of Americans who feel that Hezbollah has nothing to do with them are aware of the 241 Marines slaughterd in 1983, or the fact that Hezbollah operates widely in the USA.
