Dear Dr Pipes, Way back in 2007 your reader Verballistic equated 'Muslim only events' with Zionism. He said that there was no difference. 11 years have passed since s/he asked this question but it is never too late to explain the matter to someone who was probably intentionally ignoring some important factors. Here are some of the differences between Zionism and 'Islam only':

1. The number of Jews in the world is about 1% of the number of Muslims in the world.
2. Israel, if we can call it Jewish homeland, is only about 10000 sq-miles. Muslim occupied lands are spread all over the planet.
3. I have never heard a Jew say that Judaism will enter every home of the world.
4. Unlike Islam Judaism is not a political philosophy.
5. Judaism does not seek to convert others to the Jewish religion as much as Muslims do.
6. As far as I can recall I did not see any Jewish armies going all around the world and destroying civilizations. **Islamiic aggression is still going on**. About 7 years after Verballistic wrote his comment, ISIS nearly exterminated the Yazidi people of Iraq for just being Yazidis.
7. Islamic hypocrisy is so visible that you have to be completely blind to not see it. For example, Muslims love democracy in all countries of the world except in those which are controlled by Islamic theocracies.
8. There is nearly no evidence that there is a smallest movement in any Islamic country to bring separation of church and state to that country (Bangladesh might be an exception).
9. I do not think any Jewish army --consisting of good Jews or bad Jews-- has used rape as a weapon in recent times.

These points are just the beginning. The fact of the matter is that Islam has to change significantly before it can catch up to the other world religions in terms of mutual respect and bonhomie.
